Taylor Jacobsen was named the MVP of the Lumberjack Classic after the NAU volleyball team swept South Dakota State, LSU and Fresno State on Sept. 13 and 14 in the Rolle Activity Center. She averaged 2.78 kills and 3.56 digs per set while hitting .303 and leading the team with five aces over the weekend. After posting her second double-double of the season with 11 kills and 13 digs in the tournament opener against South Dakota State, Jacobsen narrowly missed another double-double with nine kills and nine digs versus LSU as the Lumberjacks defeated an SEC team on their home floor for the second straight season.
