Junior Taryn O'Neill captured first place as in Monday's Silver State Collegiate Cross Country Challenge in Las Vegas, as the No. 26-ranked women's squad took third place as a team in a race that included No. 3 BYU, No. 8 Washington, No. 13 Boise State and No. 18 Utah.

O'Neill clocked a winning time of 19:51.2 on the 6K course, 1.7 seconds ahead of BYU's runner-up Anna Camp. The NAU women finished with 64 points, behind only No. 3 BYU (46) and No. 13 Boise State (61).
