Beginning his career with lofty expectations, freshman Nico Young continued to prove he's one of the nation's most gifted distance runners this past weekend at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Running a 5K time of 13:24.26, Young broke the U20 American record, qualified for the Olympic Trials and posted the best times in the NCAA this season. Young's time ranks 22nd all-time in the NCAA and is the fourth fastest 5K in school history, as well as the NAU freshman record.
