Ruben Montano clinched the doubles point and then clinched the match for the NAU men's tennis team in a 5-2 victory at Southern Utah on Monday, April 16. At No. 3 doubles, Montano and Sebastian Eguez strung together a 6-3 victory to put the Lumberjacks ahead 1-0 going into singles play. His grueling three-set 6-3, 6-7, 6-3 win at No. 4 singles was NAU's third of the day to officially seal up the match win.
