TUCSON, Ariz. - Northern Arizona women's basketball fell 71-49 to Arizona at the McKale Center on Monday night.  Sophomore Tyler Stephens-Jenkins led NAU with 11 points and four rebounds in 28 minutes off the bench.

"We really tried to focus on rebounding tonight but unfortunately Arizona is an athletic talented team and we could not get the job done,"  said head coach Laurie Kelly.  "We need to really focus on some things this week in practice and get ready for a long home stand where we have to pick up some wins."

NAU (0-2) was outrebounded 64-28 on the glass and 27-6 on the offensive side.  The Lumberjacks limited Arizona to 40 percent shooting from the field but only shot 30 percent themselves on the night.

Stephens-Jenkins finished 4-of-10 from the field but hit 3-of-7 from three-point range.  Senior Jenna Galloway and sophomore Amy Patton each finished with nine points rounding out the Lumberjacks top scorers.

"We did not shoot the ball very well tonight but that is going to happen when you face a tough opponent and have a team trying to come together," Kelly said.  "It comes back to rebounding.  Everything is set up off of that so have to address that issue."

NAU finished its two set road swing of the Arizona-Pac-10 schools and will travel home for seven straight home games.  The Lumberjacks kick off their "Rock the Rolle" schedule on Friday, Nov. 19 against North Dakota State at 5:05 p.m.
