Q: How did you decide that NAU was the right fit for you?
A: There are so many reasons why I chose to come to NAU to go to school. When I came on my official visit to NAU, the people I met were great, and the campus was just astonishing. Most importantly the teammates I have now made me feel like family when I was here so my family and I felt like this was the right place for me to be.
Q: What do you think is going to be your biggest hurdle in the transition from high school to college?
A: The biggest hurdle for me is going to be not being able to spend time with my younger siblings every day like I used to. Going from spending every day with them and taking care of them to not seeing them at all is really a hard transition.
Q: How did you get started playing basketball?
A: I started playing at a young age because my dad and uncle played professionally overseas. They really got me started on basketball at a really young age and I believe so far it has taken me on the right path to being successful.
Q: What player do you replicate your game after and why?
A: I really don't know who I replicate my game after, because I have always been told to play my game and my game only. I know my strengths and weaknesses so I use that to make me a better overall basketball player.
Q: What's the best advice that someone has ever given you?
A: My dad - "Enjoy life and live it to its fullest because another day is never guaranteed, and when you are on the court give it your all every time because you never know when it will be you last game"
Q: What's been your greatest basketball moment so far in your career?
A: I have had a lot of great things happen to me throughout my basketball career but nothing was better to me than when I signed my letter of intent to play Division 1 basketball here at NAU.
Q: What's your major and what do you want to do with it?
A: I chose parks and recreation as my major because it is something that my dad has been involved with for a long time. I just want to follow his footsteps because it seemed like it was something he enjoyed doing everyday.
Q: What have you had to adapt to the most since arriving at college?
A: Being busy 24/7. Everybody knows when you're always complaining about having nothing to do, but now that I am in college I have so much to do that it was just something I honestly wasn't ready for. All the practices, classes, meetings and stuff like that are tough but once you get the time management down college is a really enjoyable time.
