Lumberjack Hoops Opens Six-Game Road Trip at Arizona State on Friday

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Nov. 16, 2017) – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team will open a six-game road swing at Arizona State on Friday in a 6 p.m. MST tipoff from the Wells Fargo Center in Tempe.
Friday's game will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks and also available live on the Lumberjack Radio Network beginning with the pregame show at 5:30 p.m. MST.
The Lumberjacks will be looking to notch their first win of the 2017-18 season when they battle the Sun Devils following back-to-back losses to open the season at No. 3/5 Arizona and at home vs. Embry-Riddle last Monday night.
NAU will be meeting Arizona State for the first time since defeating the Sun Devils by a 69-68 margin on Dec. 17, 2011 in Tempe. The Lumberjacks trail the all-time series with Arizona State 76-61 entering Friday's action.
Following Friday's visit to Tempe the 'Jacks will jet to Manhattan, Kansas, for a tilt against Big 12 Conference member Kansas State on Monday, Nov. 20 in a 6 p.m. MST tip. The game will be aired live on ESPN3 and also will be broadcasted live on the Lumberjack Radio Network beginning with the pregame show 30 minutes before tipoff.
Monday's meeting with the Wildcats will mark the first time that NAU and Kansas State have met in the sport of men's basketball.
Northern Arizona will then head to Las Vegas for the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational for a pair of games beginning with a Thanksgiving matinee against Hampton on Thursday, Nov. 23 at 12 p.m. MST.
The Lumberjacks will then return to action on Friday, Nov. 24 when they will face either UC Irvine or Rider. Friday's game and opponent will be decided on the outcome of Thursday's contest. If NAU wins it will play at 8 p.m. MST on Friday and will tip off at 12 p.m. MST with a loss on Thursday.
The upcoming six-game road trip represents the most consecutive games that Northern Arizona will play away from Flagstaff during the 2017-18 season.
Sophomore
Chris Bowling is leading the 'Jacks in scoring after the initial two games of the season at 13.5 per contest and is the lone NAU player averaging double figures. Fellow sophomore Brooks Debisschop lead NAU on the boards in the early season with an average of 5.5 rebounds per game.
