OGDEN, Utah (Jan. 4, 2018) – Weber State outscored the Northern Arizona men's basketball team 56-28 in the second half and posted 30 points off 13 Lumberjacks turnovers as it cruised to a 95-55 victory at the Dee Events Center in Ogden on Thursday night.

The loss sends NAU to 3-13 on the season and a 0-3 start in Big Sky Conference action.  Weber State moves to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in the conference loop.

The 40-margin of defeat marked the largest for the Lumberjacks in a loss this season and the biggest margin against a Big Sky opponent since a 101-58 setback at Montana State on Feb. 11, 2016.

The Wildcats won the battle in the paint 38-18 and connected on 11-of-22 attempts from beyond the three-point arc.

Sophomore Chris Bowling led all NAU players with 18 points on 7-of-13 shooting in the loss, including a 4-of-9 clip from beyond the three-point stripe.  Lenell Henry added 11 in defeat.

Jerrick Harding led a total of six Weber State players who finished with double-figure points with 17.  Ricky Nelson notched 13, Zach Braxton added 12 and Ryan Richardson recorded 11 while Jordan Dallas and Michal Kozak each added 10 to round out the Wildcats scoring leaders.

The Lumberjacks did not make a single field goal for a 5:12 stretch late in the second half before Henry ended the drought on a made jumper with 34 seconds left in the contest.

The Wildcats opened the second half with a 17-3 run over the first 6:27 of the final period to open up a 26-point advantage at 56-30 with 13:33 left in regulation.

Weber State put together an 10-0 run in the first half to open an early 17-7 edge just over six minutes into the contest and led by as many as 15 with 13 seconds remaining until intermission before Bowling hit his third trey of the opening half to send the teams into the break with NAU trailing 39-27.

The 'Jacks made just one of their final 10 shot attempts of the first half before Bowling connected on the trey with five seconds left before halftime.

The Lumberjacks will continue their current road trip with a game at Idaho State on Saturday, Jan. 6 in a 7 p.m. MST tipoff from Holt Arena in Pocatello.

The 'Jacks-Bengals game will aired live on the Lumberjack Radio Network beginning with the pregame show at 6:30 p.m. and will also be streamed live on PlutoTV channel 243.
