The Lumberjacks will look to get back on the winning track on Saturday when they host Cal Poly in the annual "Homecoming" game at 4 p.m. MST.
The game will be televised live on Your Phoenix CW (Suddenlink channel 6 in Flagstaff) and NAU-TV (Suddenlink channel 4 in Flagstaff) with
, Kevin Stephens and Matt Jarecki on the call.
The game will also be broadcast on the Lumberjack Radio Network beginning with the pregame show at 3 p.m MST.
The 'Jacks will be looking for their fourth straight win in the series with the Mustangs, but the games have been relatively close, with NAU posting an average margin of victory of 8.0 ppg.
NAU handed the Mustangs a 28-10 loss last season in a game that saw former NAU receiver
Cal Poly enters Saturday's tilt with the 'Jacks ith a record of 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the Big Sky Conference. All five of the Mustangs losses this season have come against ranked opponents.
GET ON THE BOARD FIRST
NAU is a perfect 3-0 this season when it scores first and winless at 0-4 when it allows its opponent to score the game's first points.
SETTING THE TABLE FOR THE LAST FOUR GAMES
The Lumberjacks will sandwich a pair of home games around back-to-back trips to northern California beginning with Saturday's game vs. Cal Poly.
NAU its meeting with the Mustangs with road games at UC Davis (11/3) and Sacramento State (11/10), before closing out the regular season at home vs. North Dakota on Nov. 17.
In addition, each of the 'Jacks next three games will be against opponents from the state of California.
NAU VS. RANKED OPPONENTS
The Lumberjacks own a record of 16-40 in games against ranked FCS opponents since the 2000 season following their week six victory over Weber State.
NAU has had solid success at home in recent seasons vs. ranked opponents. The 'Jacks boast a 5-2 mark against opponents ranked in the top 10 in home games since 2012 and are 6-4 overall at home vs. ranked foes since 2013.
NAU has lost four of its last six games against ranked opponents with the most recent victory against then-No. 6/7 Weber State by a 28-24 margin on Oct. 6, 2018.
SOUERS ALL-TIME AT HOME

Jerome Souers has tallied an all-time home record of 73-36 during his 20-plus seasons at the helm in Flagstaff.
Souers has posted winning home records in 18 of his first 20 seasons in charge of the Lumberjack football program, including a 5-2 mark in 2017.
The only losing records came during the 1999 (2-3) and 2000 (2-4) seasons. The 1999 record included one loss that was due to forfeit for having an ineligible player in the lineup.
THE 'JACKS ON THE ROAD
NAU is 31-37 in road games since the 2008 season.
The Lumberjacks are 1-3 in road contests during the 2018 season.
THE SKYDOME IS OUR HOME
Since 2013, the 'Jacks have won 23 of 30 games in the Walkup Skydome and have a total of five games on their home turf this season.
Overall, the Lumberjacks boast a record of 156-78 in games played at the Skydome since it opened in 1977.
The Skydome hosted five games in its first season, with an average attendance of 13,029. NAU football was previously played outdoors on natural grass at Lumberjack Stadium. The dome hosted the Big Sky men's basketball tournament in 1987, 1997, 1998, and 2006.
For its first six years, the Walkup Skydome was the world's largest clear-span timber dome, until the completion of the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Washington, in 1983.
The architect was Wendell Rossman of Phoenix, also responsible for many other buildings on the surrounding NAU campus. The wood used in construction of Walkup Skydome was southern yellow pine.
At its launching in 1977, it was the third indoor football stadium in the Big Sky Conference: Holt Arena at Idaho State in Pocatello opened in 1970 (as the "Minidome") and the Kibbie Dome at Idaho in Moscow was enclosed in 1975.
The Skydome is named after J. Lawrence Walkup (1914–2002), the president of NAU from 1957 to 1979, a period of tremendous growth for the university.
JEROME SOUERS SITS AT 122 CAREER WINS

Jerome Souers recorded the 122nd win of his career in the Lumberjacks' 28-24 victory over Weber State on Oct. 6, 2018.
The Lumberjacks' boss currently leads the Big Sky all-time list for coaching wins and ranks 16th all-time among active NCAA FCS Coaches in victories.
DON'T THROW ON THE 'JACKS
The Lumberjacks picked off three passes in the most recent win over Weber State and have now recorded a total of 14 interceptions this season, which leads the Big Sky Conference and ranks second in all of the FCS.

The Lumberjacks' defense has forced a total of 20 turnovers over the first six games this season - which is third nationally and second in the Big Sky Conference.
BUTLER BECOMES NAU'S CAREER RECEIVING YARDAGE LEADER
Senior
Emmanuel Butler became NAU's career leader in receiving yardage with his first catch of the game at Northern Colorado on Oct. 20.
Butler moved past Clarence Moore's total of 3,042 yards with the initial catch against the Bears and finished the game with a total of 3,067 yards.
'JACKS RUSH FOR OVER 200 YARDS AT NORTHERN COLORADO
NAU posted 200 yards on the ground for the first time this season with 204. It marked its highest rushing effort since netting 235 yards in a win over Montana State on Nov. 11, 2017 - a span of seven games.
CAMPIOTTI BECOMES THIRD QB TO START IN 2018
True freshman
Gino Campiotti became the third signal caller to start for the Lumberjacks this season in the Oct. 20 loss at Northern Colorado.
Campiotti finished 16-of-31 thru the air for 132 yards. He also committed three interceptions.
The three different players at quarterback mark the most for the Lumberjacks since also starting three during the 2014 season.
BUTLER EYEING CAREER RECEPTIONS MARK AS WELL
Butler boasts a total of 182 receptions in his career which sits tied for third in the program's in the career annals.
Butler is currently 19 catches of catching Shawn Collins' NAU record total of 201 and 14 shy of Alex Watson's second-place total (196).
PUNTER DJ ARNSON AMONG THE NATION'S BEST
Sophomore punter
DJ Arnson entered the program as a walk-on and is already on his way to establishing himself as one of the top punters in FCS football.
Arnson currently ranks second nationally and tops in the Big Sky with an average of 47.4 yards per boot.
He has placed 10 punts inside the 20 and recorded a total of 14 punts of 50 yards or longer, including a 62-yard punt at Missouri State on Sept. 15, a 63-yarder at Northern Colorado and a season-long 64-boot vs. Weber State.
