FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 20, 2018) – Northern Arizona University's women's golf program has added two phenomenal young athletes to its team after Alyza Flores and Lorel Hayward signed on and announced on Nov. 14
th their intentions to attend the school next season.
Flores hails from Vail, Ariz., and is currently attending Cienega High School. She did not compete for her school but has competed in highly regarded events such as the Mary Cave Cup in El Cajon, Calif. In that event she played for Team Arizona with three other golfers from the state. Flores is also a member of the National Honor Society.
Hayward is from Mesa, Ariz., and is currently attending Highland High School training under coach Alex Black. She has been her team's captain for two years and tied for 10
th individually at the state tournament. Hayward's high school squad tied for fifth at state this past season and were crowned the champions of the Prescott Invitational.

Brad Bedortha. "They are wonderful young ladies and excellent students. They will add a lot of depth to our team. We are glad they chose to become Lumberjacks and we look forward to having them next fall."
NAU's 2018 fall season was highlighted by the addition of three international freshmen joining the team.
Aleksandra Chekalina,
Ashley Croft and
Elle Kocourkova each gaining valuable experience at the NCAA Division I level and are looking to use that in the 2019 spring season.
With the addition of Flores and Hayward the Lumberjacks will be adding some much needed depth to their current roster that features seven athletes, which is composed of five underclassmen. NAU looks to keep all of its members on the roster moving into the 2019 fall campaign.
