FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Feb. 8, 2018) – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team will close out its current three-game homestand when it takes on Southern Utah at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome on Saturday, Feb. 10 in a 2 p.m. MST tip.
 
Fans are reminded that parking is free for all NAU Basketball games and that tickets start at $8 ($6 for youth and seniors).

All fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a free NAU paracord bracelets (while supplies last).
 
Saturday's meeting with Southern Utah will be televised live on Phoenix's CW6 (Suddenlink Channel 6 in Flagstaff) and streamed on Pluto.TV (channel 239) and WatchBigSky.com.
 
The game will also be broadcast live on the Lumberjack Radio Network with the voice of the 'Jacks Mitch Strohman on the call beginning with the pregame show 30 minutes prior to tipoff. 
 
The Lumberjacks are currently 4-20 overall and 1-9 in Big Sky action entering Saturday's game vs. Southern Utah.
 
With leading scorer JoJo Anderson (12.4 ppg) missing the last four games due to injury, junior Torry Johnson has led the way for NAU with an average of 20.6 points over the last five games, each of which has seen him finish with double-figure scoring totals.
 
Sophomore Brooks DeBisschop paces NAU on the glass with a team-best 7.25 rebounds per contest (third-best in Big Sky Conference) and junior Isaiah Thomas leads the way with a team-best 24 blocks (sixth-best in Big Sky).
 
Southern Utah enters Saturday's matchup with a 9-13 overall record and a 3-8 mark in Big Sky Conference games.  The Thunderbirds have dropped three of their last four games and own a 1-9 record in road games this season
 
SSU is led by Jadon Cohee who is averaging 13.4 points per game, which also ranks 18th among Big Sky Conference leaders.  Dwayne Morgan boasts a team-best 13.7 ppg scoring average but has only seen action in 10 games this season.
 
The Lumberjacks are 5-6 vs. Southern Utah since the Thunderbirds joined the Big Sky Conference in 2012.
 
All-Time Series vs. Southern Utah
  • The Lumberjacks trail the all-time series with the Thunderbirds 16-14 entering Saturday's action.  NAU has dropped the last four of meetings overall vs. Southern Utah.
  • NAU last defeated the Thunderbirds during the 2015-16 campaign when it posted a 73-63 win in Cedar City.
  • The 'Jacks last home victory over Southern Utah came back in 2014-15 by a 70-67 margin.  NAU has come up short in the last two meetings with the Thunderbirds in Flagstaff. 
  • The 'Jacks own an 11-5 mark against Southern Utah in games played in Flagstaff and have lost the last two home meetings.
  • NAU is 5-6 all-time vs. the Thunderbirds in the Jack Murphy era.
 
Last Meeting with Southern Utah
  • NAU lost by an 81-75 margin in its previous meeting this season with Southern Utah on Jan. 13 in Cedar City.  NAU led 51-49 with 12:23 in regulation, but the Thunderbirds responded with a 16-5 run over the next six minutes to open a 65-56 lead they would not relinquish.
 
Harris Heating Up
  • Freshman Karl Harris has tallied double-figure points in each of the last four games overall and is averaging 14.8 points over that span.
  • Harris also ranks 14th among NAU's all-time freshman scoring leaders with 183 points over the first 24 games this season.  He is 17 points shy of tying Josh Wilson (200 points) for 13th place entering Saturday's game vs. Southern Utah.
