GAME NOTES (PDF)

NAU LOOKS TO PICK UP SECOND STRAIGHT BIG SKY WIN AT WEBER STATE
The Lumberjacks will open a three-game road swing on Thursday night when they travel to face Weber State in a 7 p.m. MST tip at the Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah.

NAU will be looking for its second-consecutive win in Big Sky play following a 74-68 victory over Montana State at home on Monday, Dec. 31, which snapped an eight-game losing streak.  With their next conference win, the 'Jacks will match last season's win total in conference games.

The Lumberjacks will continue their current road trip on Saturday at Idaho State in a 7 p.m. MST start before closing out the stretch at Southern Utah on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 2 p.m. MST.

Each of the Lumberjacks' games during the current road trip will be streamed on Pluto TV beginning with the Weber State clash (Channel 235).  They will also be aired on the Lumberjack Radio Network beginning with the pregame show 30 minutes before tip.

NAU will be seeking its second road win of the season on Thursday vs. the Wildcats and its first since posting a 76-66 victory on Nov. 14 at Omaha.

LOOKING FOR SECOND BIG SKY WIN
With a win at Weber State on Thursday, the Lumberjacks would post two wins in Big Sky action at the earliest point in the season since 2014-15 when it opened league play 2-1.

That season saw the 'Jacks lose to Sacramento State in the conference opener before rallying to defeat Portland State and Southern Utah.

NAU ALL-TIME VS. WEBER STATE
The Lumberjacks will be out to snap a five-game skid vs. Weber State when they face the Wildcats on Thursday night.

NAU dropped both meetings to Weber State last season by an average of margin of 36.0 ppg.  The 'Jacks lost 95-55 in Ogden on Jan. 4 before falling 87-55 on Feb. 3 in Flagstaff.

The Lumberjacks trail the all-time series with Weber State 78-28 and are 7-45 vs. the Wildcats in road meetings.

Current NAU head coach Jack Murphy owns a 2-10 all-time mark in games vs. Weber State.

PAIR OF DOUBLE-DOUBLES VS. MONTANA STATE
Sophomore Bernie Andre (15 pts/11 rebs.) and junior Brooks DeBisschop (11 pts/11 rebs) each posted double-double performances in NAU's 74-68 victory vs. Montana State on Dec. 31 in Flagstaff.

Andre and DeBisschop's efforts marked the first time that NAU had a pair of players register a double-double in the same contest since Dec. 14, 2016 vs. Arkansas Little Rock when JoJo Anderson and Jordyn Martin pulled the trick.

CARLOS HINES NINE ASSISTS VS. MONTANA STATE LEADS 'JACKS
Sophomore Carlos Hines handed out nine assists in NAU's 74-68 win over Montana State on Dec. 31.

The nine helpers are the most by any NAU player this season and marked the highest single-game total for the 'Jacks since Gino Littles tallied nine at North Dakota on Feb. 17, 2018.

CHRIS BOWLING HAS ALL-AROUND GAME TO HELP LEAD 'JACKS TO WIN OVER BOBCATS
Junior Chris Bowling was stellar on both the offensive and defensive end of the floor in the Lumberjacks' 74-68 win over Montana State on Dec. 31.

Bowling notched a season-best 17 points, while shooting 5-of-11 overall and 4-of-9 from three-point range vs. Montana State.  It marked his initial game in double-figures this season and his first since tallying 17 at North Dakota on Feb. 17, 2018.

In addition, Bowling was key in the defensive effort as he helped limit Montana State sharpshooter Tyler Hall to just 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting.

NAU IN BIG SKY OPENERS
Following its loss vs. Montana in the Big Sky opener on Dec. 29, NAU is 22-27 all-time in Big Sky Conference openers.  The 'Jacks have dropped each of their last five conference openers.

The Lumberjacks last opened league play with a victory on Jan. 2, 2014 when it defeated the Grizzlies 73-65 in Missoula.  NAU has faced Montana in its initial Big Sky contest in six of the previous 10 seasons, including this season's matchup.

DEBISSCHOP SHOWS HIS METTLE AGAINST PAC-12 FOE UTAH
Junior Brooks DeBisschop posted a career-best 16 points, pulled down seven rebounds and added three steals in NAU's 76-62 setback at Utah on Dec. 21.

DeBisschop was efficient on the offensive end as well, making 7-of-8 shot attempts from the field.

AVDALOVIC STAYS HOT
Freshman Luke Avdalovic has been hot for the 'Jacks in recent games posting an 11.6 scoring average over the last five contests and knocking down a total of 17 three-pointers over that span.

WELL ROUNDED SCORING FOR 'JACKS
The Lumberjacks currently have a total of three players averaging double-figure points, led by sophomore Carlos Hines' team-best 13.0 points per game.

Sophomore Bernie Andre has notched 12.3 ppg, while junior Ted McCree has tallied a 10.3 ppg average over the initial 12 contests.

THREE-POINT STREAK
NAU has connected on at least one 3-pointer in 173 consecutive games.

The last time NAU did not make a 3-pointer was on Nov. 29, 2013, versus CSU Bakersfield.

The Lumberjacks finished that game 0-for-11 from beyond the arc.

THREE OR MORE IN DOUBLE DIGITS IS A REGULAR THING
NAU has already had a total of eight games this season where at least three players have posted double-figure points over the first 12 contests.

By comparison, the Lumberjacks had a total of 17 games with three players in double-figures over a total of 32 contests.
