NAU CONTINUE HOMESTAND VS. SOUTH DAKOTA IN SATURDAY MATINEE
The Lumberjacks will play host to South Dakota in a 12 p.m. MST tip on Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Rolle Activity Center looking for their third consecutive win on the current homestand.

NAU will be returning to action following a nine-day break after its most recent action - a 93-56 victory over Benedictine Mesa on Nov. 20.

Saturday's meeting with the Coyotes will be aired live on Pluto TV (channel 539) and the Lumberjack Radio Network with the voice of the Lumberjacks Mitch Strohman on the call.

The 'Jacks will wrap up the current stretch of home games on Wednesday, Dec. 4 vs. UC Davis at Rolle (6 p.m. MST) before hosting Omaha on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. MST in a "home" contest in Prescott Valley, Ariz., at the Findlay Toyota Center.

Overall, the 'Jacks will play five of nine non-conference games at home (including the Omaha match up) before facing a Big Sky slate that sees them playing five of their first seven conference games on the road.

NAU is 5-3 over the last three-plus seasons in games played at the Rolle Activity Center - including a perfect 2-0 mark in 2019-20.


NAU VS. SOUTH DAKOTA ALL-TIME
The Lumberjacks will be facing South Dakota for the third consecutive season when they square off on Saturday afternoon.

The series resumed in 2017-18 following a 38-year hiatus and has seen the Coyotes defeat the 'Jacks by double-digits in Flagstaff (2017-18) and Vermillion (2018-19).

South Dakota leads the all-time series 3-1.  NAU's lone win came back in 1979.  The series began in 1959.  The 'Jacks are 1-1 all-time vs. the Coyotes in Flagstaff.


BACK-TO-BACK HOME WINS
The Lumberjacks are riding a two-game winning streak  -with both wins coming at home - entering Saturday's meeting with South Dakota.

The consecutive wins allowed the Lumberjacks to back-to-back victories at home for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign when they defeated Northern Colorado and North Dakota.

NAU has not posted three straight home wins since it won eight straight during the 2014-15 campaign.


SHARING THE BALL
The Lumberjacks have posted 20 or more assists in each of their last two games with 26 vs. SAGU AIC and 20 vs. Benedictine Mesa.

The last time NAU had recorded 20 helpers prior to the recent run was at UTEP on Dec. 17, 2016 - a span of 84 games.


RECORDS GALORE IN HOME OPENER
NAU lit up the Rolle Activity Center in its home opening 105-32 victory over SAGU AIC on Nov. 15.  

Below is a look at some of the highlights from the win:

- points allowed in first half (fewest allowed in a half in program history - breaking previous of 10 - which was set 43 years ago during the 1975-76 campaign against Idaho State and before the invention of the shot clock.

68 - points scored in first half - set a new standard for the most points ever scored by the 'Jacks in a half, eclipsing the 63 posted against Adams State (Colo.) in 1984-85.

73 - margin of victory - shattered the previous high water mark for the program of 55 set against Western New Mexico in 1968-69.

105 - points scored - marked the most for NAU since notching 113 vs. Southwestern College (Calif.) in 2009-10.

17 - three-pointers made - the highest single-game total since  2001.

8 - three-pointers made by Luke Avdalovic - which tied for the sixth-highest single-game total in NAU history (eight times by seven players).

DEBISSCHOP EYEING 500 IN POINTS AND REBOUNDS
NAU senior Brooks DeBisschop enters Saturday's game vs. South Dakota on the verge of hitting 500 for his career in both points and rebounds.

DeBisschop needs just four rebounds and 20 points to reach 500 in both categories.

In addition, DeBisschop is just 103 rebounds of moving into 10th place on the NAU career list.


BURCAR NOTCHES FIRST COLLEGIATE WIN
NAU head coach Shane Burcar picked up his first win as a collegiate head coach with the Lumberjacks' 105-32 victory over SAGU AIC on Nov. 15.

Burcar is the 26th head coach in the history of NAU basketball.


LUMBERJACKS IN HOME OPENERS SINCE 2003-04
NAU captured a win in its home opener in consecutive seasons for the first time since 2014 (Fresno State) and 2015 (San Diego Christian) with its win over SAGU AIC on Nov. 15.

The Lumberjacks defeated Jacksonville by a 97-82 count in the 2018-19 home opener as Bernie Andre scored 20 to lead a total of five NAU players who finished in double figures in the victory,

The 'Jacks have a 14-3 record in home openers since the 2003-04 season.


THREE-POINT STREAK
NAU has connected on at least one 3-pointer in 194 consecutive games. 

The last time NAU did not make a 3-pointer was on Nov. 29, 2013, versus CSU Bakersfield.  

The Lumberjacks finished that game 0-for-11 from beyond the arc.
