FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 20, 2019) – The Northern Arizona men's basketball team wraps up the home portion of the 2018-19 schedule this week as it hosts Idaho on Thursday evening and Eastern Washington on Saturday afternoon at the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome.

The Lumberjacks will tip off against the Vandals on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. MST before facing the Eagles on Saturday in a 2 p.m. MST start.

Each of the Lumberjacks' games this weekend will be streamed to a national audience on Pluto TV (Channel 239) and aired on the Lumberjack Radio Network, beginning with the pregame show 30 minutes before tip.

NAU will play each of its final three games on the road before beginning the postseason run at the Big Sky Conference Championship in Boise, Idaho on March 13-16.

NAU enters Thursday's game vs. Idaho trailing the Vandals 42-20 in the all-time series. The Lumberjacks defeated the Vandals 86-73 in Moscow on Feb. 2 in the initial meeting between the programs this season.  Bernie Andre posted a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds and Ted McCree scored a career-high 24 points and drilled a total of eight three-pointers to lead the 'Jacks to the victory.

The 'Jacks are 14-16 all-time vs. Idaho in home games and have dropped each of the last two such matchups.

The Vandals currently own an overall record of 4-21 and are 1-13 in Big Sky play. Idaho has lost each of its last 11 games overall entering Thursday's contest with NAU.

NAU trails all-time series with Eastern Washington 37-34 and but own a 23-11 advantage against the Eagles in games played in Flagstaff entering Saturday's clash.

The 'Jacks have lost three of their last three meetings and seven of the eight overall.  The Lumberjacks last victory vs. Eastern Washington came during the 2016-17 campaign by a 76-61 margin at the Walkup Skydome.

The Lumberjacks currently have a total of three players averaging double-figure points, led by sophomore Bernie Andre's team-best 13.6 points per game.  Sophomore Carlos Hines has tallied an 11.8 ppg average, while junior Ted McCree has chipped in 11.4.

In addition, freshman Luke Avdalovic continues to be a major weapon for the Lumberjacks from beyond the arc.  He currently leads the Big Sky and ranks fifth nationally with a .519 (56-of-108) shooting percentage from three-point range.

NAU (8-17, 6-9 Big Sky) has already eclipsed its conference and overall win total from last season.  The conference win total marks the earliest point in a season that the 'Jacks have secured three Big Sky victories since 2014-15.

The Lumberjacks will return to the road next week to face Montana State (March 2) and Montana (March 4).
