NEW ORLEANS, La. (September 17, 2019) -
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its latest National Coaches' Poll on Tuesday morning. The Northern Arizona University men's cross country team remained in the top spot in the Division I rankings for the 23rd consecutive week.

NAU's No. 1 ranking was followed by BYU at No. 2, Washington at No. 3, Colorado at No. 4 and with Iowa State rounding out the top five on the men's side.

The NAU women's XC squad received 21 votes but did not break through the top-30 this week. The Lumberjacks are still the highest rated women's team in the Big Sky Conference with no other schools having received any votes.

Both crews will be making the trip to Terre Haute, Ind., this weekend for the John McNichols Invitational hosted by Indiana State University. This will be the 'Jacks first look this season at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, which is also the site of the 2019 NCAA Division I Championships this November.
