FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 23, 2020) – Northern Arizona's scheduled season-opening game at Arizona on Wednesday, November 25, will not be played as a result of an isolated COVID-19 incident within the Lumberjack men's basketball program.
NAU and Arizona are working together to explore the possibility of rescheduling the game. An announcement will be made at a later date in regards to any possible rescheduling.
"Our student-athletes, coaches and support staff have worked extremely hard to prepare for the start of the season," said Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics
Mike Marlow. "Our top priority will remain the health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches and staff. We appreciate the collaboration with the University of Arizona, the Big Sky Conference, the Pac-12 Conference, as well as the continued first-class care of our sports medicine team."
