FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 4, 2020) – After their five-game winning streak came to an end, the Northern Arizona men's basketball team will have an immediate opportunity to start a new streak when they head to Idaho State for a Thursday night matchup at 7 p.m. The game will be the first of two on the road this week as NAU will play at Weber State on Saturday with tip-off also at 7 p.m.

Both games will be streamed on Pluto TV and can be heard on the Lumberjack Radio Network with the Voice of the Lumberjacks Mitch Strohman on the call. Thursday's meeting with the Bengals will be streamed on Pluto TV Channel 543 and Saturday's meeting with the Wildcats will be streamed on Pluto TV Channel 535.

NAU will be hitting the road for the first time in a couple weeks on the heels of a four-game homestand. The Lumberjacks, currently in fifth-place in the Big Sky standings with a 12-8 record and 6-5 conference mark, concluded their homestand with three wins in four games.

The Lumberjacks' homestand came to a disappointing end Monday night with a 77-66 loss to first-place Eastern Washington. The defeat snapped NAU's season-long five-game winning streak and was the Lumberjacks' first loss since Jan. 11, which came coincidentally against Idaho State.

Senior Brooks DeBisschop was exceptional in NAU's loss on Monday, as he tied career-highs with 20 points, six assists and four steals. DeBisschop also  drained a career-high three treys and corralled seven rebounds.

In conference play, DeBisschop is averaging a team-high 14.4 points per game on 60.8 percent shooting. When he is not scoring, the offense is still going through DeBisschop as of late with the big man averaging 5.5 assists per game over the last four contests.

Sophomore Cameron Shelton is coming off a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Shelton's season averages of 13.7 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game has him ranked in the top 15 of the Big Sky in each category.

NAU and Idaho State will meet for the 105th time on Thursday. Idaho State held off NAU late in picking up a 71-67 victory in the Walkup Skydome on Jan. 11 with DeBisschop leading the 'Jacks with 20 points.

Idaho State leads the all-time series 57-47 with the Bengals winning five of the last six meetings over the last four seasons.

NAU has struggled in Pocatello historically with a 14-37 record against Idaho State on its home court. Last year's NAU win in Pocatello snapped a four-game road losing streak to the Bengals.

NAU and Weber State will meet for the 111th time on Saturday. The Lumberjacks emerged victorious in the team's first meeting this season on Jan. 4 in the Skydome with DeBisschop scoring 18 points in NAU's 72-64 victory. Junior Cameron Satterwhite and sophomore Nik Mains scored 15 and 13 points respectively to aid DeBisschop's team-high output.

Weber State leads the all-time series 80-30. NAU's win last month was its first over Weber State since Feb. 14, 2015, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Wildcats.

Like Pocatello, NAU has struggled in Ogden having won just nine of 56 meetings versus the Wildcats on the road. NAU has lost four straight in the Dee Events Center since the Lumberjacks won two in a row in 2014 and 2015.
