FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 17, 2022) - Northern Arizona track and field will host their final home meet, the NAU Tune Up, of the season on Friday. The field events will begin at noon (MST) with the women's pole vault while the track events will start at 4 P.M. (MST) with the men's 60-meter hurdles; live results will be available.
Ambessa Track Club, Arizona, Arizona Christian, Cal. St. Dom. Hills, CSU Bakersfield, Elite Sports Fitness Academy, Embry-Riddle, Glendale Community College, La Verne, Mesa Community College, Montana State, Mx International Elite, Nevada Track Club, Ottawa, Paradise Valley Community College, Park Gilbert, Pima Community College, Phoenix College, Phoenix Elite, Phoenix Track Club, Redlands, San Diego St., Team Showtyme, Triple Crown Track Club, UNLV, Valley Vipers, and the World Class Sports Club will be in attendance.
Joelle Santiago and Dominick Singer will head the women's and men's pole vault, while Sirr Butler and Cameron Peters compete in the men's long jump and triple jump.
Kimberly Buchanan, Matilde Roe and Carly Watts will begin the women's shot put at 1 P.M. (MST) with Jake Arnold, Blake Baloun, Parker Bays, Rudy Tapia, Jake Tucker, and Cole White follow in the men's shot put.
Watts currently leads the conference this season as Roe ranks fifth, Arnold sits second and Bays holds fifth.
Buchanan and Roe will compete in the women's weight throw as well, along with McKenna Chaney, Tania Duncan and Jennifer Slater.
Meanwhile, Baloun and White will throw the men's weight alongside Will Beaudry, Jacob Kaufman, Garret Bernt, CJ McMullen and Jay Nielsen.
Slater and Buchanan sequentially ranks fifth and sixth in the Big Sky as Beaudry and
Kaufman hold second and fourth this season.
At 2 P.M., Madeline Wilson will participate in the women's high jump.
Later, Karsen Burke, Wil Peralta and the Givens Twins will open the track events with the men's 60-meter hurdles preliminary race, as Wilson, Kiana Kai, Marissa Milos, and Jyntry Rucker attempt to make the women's 60-meter hurdle finals.
Trenton Givens and Peralta respectively hold sixth and eighth in the conference this season and Wilson ranks fifth.
The men's 60-meter dash, shooting off immediately after, will feature Ian Lipsey, Devin Prince, Matthew Roma, Kyle Smith, and Zach Sutton, while Alyssa Colbert and Kenya Coburn will compete in the event for the Lumberjack women.
Colbert remains first in the Big Sky this season, and Coburn currently ranks eighth.
NAU will also slide Ethan Seppala and Zach Schroeder into the men's 400-meter.
Lipsey, Prince, Roma, Schroeder, Seppala, Colbert, and Coburn will return for the men's and women's 200-meter dashes as well; Colbert currently holds second in the conference.
