STANFORD, Ariz. (April 29, 2022) — Northern Arizona sent three athletes to the Payton Jordan Invitational for the men's and women's 5,000-meter races.
Delaney Rasmussen ran the women's 5K in 16:16.36, becoming eighth in the Big Sky Conference this season; meanwhile, Jack Shea (13:44.57) and Tristian Merchant (13:57.78) competed in the men's 5K, to respectively become ninth and 14th in the Big Sky this year. Shea also now sits 41st on the men's west regional qualifying list.
The Lumberjack men currently own eight of the top-10 slots in the conference, and seven top-48 regional slots, with ten athletes running sub-14:00 5K's; seven men have posted sub-13:45 performances this season.
