EUGENE, Ore. (June 26, 2022) – Abdihamid Nur earns a spot on Team USA with a third place performance in the men's 5,000-meter at USATF Championships.
Nur posted a 5K time of 13:08.63, his second sub-13:10 effort this year, to make his first appearance on the USA World Championship team; Nur also becomes the second men's athlete on the All-Time, All-Dates Collegiate Chart with multiple sub 13:10 races in the 5K.
Nico Young placed eighth in the men's 5K with a time of 13:19.15, while David Dunlap finished 13th (20.53) in the men's 200-meter semifinal race today as well.
Nur and NAU Alum Brooke Andersen, who earned a women's hammer slot on Team USA earlier this week, will return to Eugene, Ore. for the 2022 USATF World Championships on July 15-24.
