FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (September 26, 2023) – The Northern Arizona University cross country teams swept the Big Sky Athlete of the Week awards once again, with
Drew Bosley and
Elise Stearns each earning the honor after impressive performances at the Virginia Invitational.
Bosley won the individual title at the Virginia Invitational, pulling away in the final 1K of the race to secure his victory. He ran a time of 23:20.3 to lead the Lumberjack men to an easy victory. The 'Jacks scored 71 points, beating second-place BYU by 30 points.
Stearns also won the individual title at the Virginia Invitational, finishing with a 5K time of 16:18.9. The women finished with a total of 48 points, well ahead of second-place Stanford who scored 91 points.
The Lumberjacks will be back in action this weekend as they head to Tucson for the Dave Murray Invitational on Friday, Sept. 29.
