LOS ANGELES (January 14, 2024) – The Northern Arizona University diving team finished up competition at the 2024 Bruin Diving Invitational at Spieker Aquatics Center on the UCLA campus this afternoon.
"We debuted a couple new dives and we did a nice job today," head diving coach
Nikki Kelsey said. "We need to clean up our entries and it was a great meet for Zones prep."
Although none of the Lumberjacks would make the finals in today's platform competition,
Mackenna Stocker led the way for NAU in 16th place in the preliminaries with a score of 206.60 points. Stocker was just 3.75 points and four places out from making the finals.
Grace Wesche followed for the Jacks in 23rd place with a score of 194.50 points in the preliminaries.
Northern Arizona would also place 30th with
Margaret Wesche scoring 188.85 points.
Reaney Preston came in 31th place with 187.30 points and
Victoria Knapp in 32nd place with 182.05 points, respectively.
Finally,
Maegan Jensen would round things out in 39th place with a score of 162.50 points.
Up Next: The Lumberjacks will return home to Flagstaff to Wall Aquatic Center as they host WAC-opponent Utah Tech for Senior Weekend.
