Wesche Named MPSF’s Top Diver; Kelsey Earns Coaching Honor

WOODLAND, Calif. (April 2, 2026) - The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) has announced its annual awards.

Grace Wesche was named the 2026 MPSF Diver of the Year. The senior was the only MPSF female diver to compete at this year's NCAA Championship, finishing 21st on the three-meter board - the highest NCAA finish in program history for an NAU diver. Wesche placed fourth on the three-meter and ninth on the one-meter at the NCAA Zone E Championships to qualify for nationals in both events. At the NCAA Championships, only one Zone E diver placed higher than her on the three-meter.

She earned All-MPSF honors on all three boards this season, highlighted by a first-team selection with a third-place finish on the one-meter (283.65). She also placed sixth on the three-meter (261.30) and fourth on platform (238.30). During the regular season, Wesche recorded a top-five finish on the one-meter and a top-10 finish on platform in a highly competitive field at the UCLA Diving Invitational. She is the first Northern Arizona student-athlete to receive an MPSF Swimming & Diving annual award since moving to the conference this year.

Head diving coach Nikki Kelsey was named the 2026 MPSF Diving Coach of the Year. Kelsey guided Wesche to an NCAA Championship appearance and played a key role in NAU's MPSF team title. NAU divers earned six of the nine first-team all-conference honors, highlighted by a podium sweep of the one-meter.

Margaret Wesche earned first-team All-MPSF honors on all three boards, recording two second-place finishes and one third-place result. Mackenna Stocker captured the MPSF one-meter title and added a third-place finish on the three-meter.

Previously a nine-time WAC Coach of the Year and four-time NIC Coach of the Year, Kelsey is the first Northern Arizona coach to earn MPSF Diving Coach of the Year honors.
