White Earns AFCA FCS Coaches’ Second Team All-America Honors

AFCA Press Release

WACO, Texas (Dec. 20, 2024) –
Northern Arizona football player Bryzai White has earned another All-America honor, landing on the AFCA FCS Coaches' Second Team as a tight end.

It's the second All-America nod this season for White, who was named Second-Team Offense FCS All-America at tight end by the Associated Press earlier this week.

The senior, who just graduated with his degree in journalism last Friday, is coming off a year that saw him earn unanimous first team All-Big Sky honors at tight end. He was the first tight end to be selected to the first team at NAU since RJ Rickert in 2013 and is the first 'Jack to make first team All-Big Sky Offense since Cole Habib in 2019.

White played in all 13 games and led the team with 578 receiving yards on 42 catches, averaging 13.8 yards per catch while tying for the team lead with four receiving touchdowns. He had over 50 receiving yards in six games including a career-high 88 yards on six catches and a touchdown in a ranked victory over Sacramento State.

In two years with the Lumberjacks, the San Diego, Calif., native hauled in 705 receiving yards on 58 catches. He scored six touchdowns and averaged 12.2 yards per catch and 29.4 yards per game in 24 games played.

He was the first Lumberjack to earn All-America honors by the AP since Luis Aguilar in 2020. Additionally, White is just the third tight end in program history to earn AP honors at that position, joining Shawn Collins (1987, 1988) and Kelly Schultz (1972).

The Lumberjacks finished the season 8-5 for its best record since 2018 and advanced to the first round of the FCS Playoffs.
