FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 1, 2024) – The NAU cross country and track & field program has announced the hiring of
Aldo Marquez as Director of Operations.
"The promotion of
Aldo Marquez from graduate assistant to full-time Director of Operations is an exciting opportunity to enhance the operation of NAU track & field," said Head Coach Mike Smith. "From a former student-athlete in the NAU program, to a GA, Aldo has learned the ins and outs of the complex inner workings of one of the top programs in the NCAA. He brings tireless hustle to our staff, and I've trusted him to manage complex tasks to ensure the best experience for our student athletes."
Marquez was previously a graduate assistant with the NAU cross country and track & field programs, primarily assisting with the distance group.
Marquez graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in marketing in 2021. He competed as a member of the cross country and track & field teams, contributing to multiple Big Sky cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field championships.
