NAU Track & Field Announces Hiring of DJ Lilley

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 1, 2024) – The Northern Arizona University track & field program has hired DJ Lilley as an assistant coach for sprints and hurdles.
 
"We're excited to bring Coach DJ Lilley onto the staff to assist Coach Clark with the sprinters and jumpers," said Head Coach Mike Smith. "Coach Lilley came highly recommended as a top young coach with a versatile eye for both sprints and jumps. We are already seeing his talent connecting with and preparing our student athletes."
 
Lilley comes to NAU from Coffeyville Community College where he was an assistant track coach in charge of the jumps group.
 
Prior to being at Coffeyville Community College, Lilley was an athlete at Rogers State University before transferring to Texas A&M University at Commerce. Lilley was a multiple-time Division II All-American and received All-South-Central Region honors. He was the GAC Indoor Long Jump Champion as well as a first-team All-Conference performer in both the 100-meter and 200-meter.
 
Lilley graduated from Texas A&M University at Commerce with a bachelor's degree in Sports and Recreation Management.
