Lumberjacks to Host NCAA Diving Zones at Wall Aquatic Center

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 10, 2024) — Just a week after claiming their 11th straight WAC Conference Championship, the Northern Arizona diving team is set to host the NCAA Diving Zone E Championships from March 11-13 at Wall Aquatic Center. 
 
Down in Pharr, Texas, Victoria Knapp opened up the WAC Championships by placing first in the prelims and claiming the 4-peat in 1-meter diving. Knapp scored 301.50 points to earn the victory. 
 
On the second day of the championship, the 'Jacks swept the podium in the 3-meter event. Grace Wesche grabbed the gold earning 320.10 points. Mackenna Stocker, who was named the 2024 WAC Diver of the Year on Thursday, scored 306.30 points for the silver and Margaret Wesche followed with the bronze with 306.25 points. 
 
Mackenna Stocker, Grace Wesche and Margaret Wesche captured the team event title scoring 270 points on the third day. To close out the meet, in platform diving, Mackenna Stocker set a new school record scoring 278.50 points. 
 
Maegan Jensen, Victoria Knapp, Kendall Marquez, Mackenna Stocker, Grace Wesche and Margaret Wesche will all represent NAU at their home pool this week. 
 
Northern Arizona will welcome nearly 30 men's and women's programs to Flagstaff from the western United States for the meet. 
 
Monday's events begin at 11:30 a.m. MST and will include the 1-meter competition on the women's side. Tuesday's events will include the 3-meter event and the meet will close out with platform diving on Wednesday.
