FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 14, 2024) – The NAU track & field team will begin their outdoor campaign this Saturday as they head to Tucson, Ariz. for the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta.
Familiar faces will be competing this weekend, with
Madeline Wilson and
Khamis Hassan each competing in both the 100-meter and 200-meter. Also competing in the 100-meter for the men will be
Mitchell Effing and
Kyle Smith.
Kyairra Reigh will compete in the 200-meter and 400-meter after having a strong indoor season in both events. Trenton and
Tyson Givens will both compete in the 110-meter hurdles.
Both the men and women's teams will have a 4x100-meter relay competing.
Brenna Rodriguez and
Kenashalee Kerr will each compete in the long jump and the triple jump, hoping to continue to build on the success they saw in the indoor season.
Sirr Butler will compete in both the triple jump and long jump for the men.
Parker Bays will lead the men's throwers as he competes in the shot put and hammer throw.
Sariyah Horne-Kemp will look to continue her strong performances in the outdoor season as she competes in the discus and hammer throw.
The javelin throwers will compete for the first time this year, with
Piper Pfister headlining for the women while
Clayton Zupke leads the men.
The Arizona Spring Break Fiesta will take place Saturday, Mar. 16 in Tucson, Ariz. with competition beginning at 9:00 a.m. MST. Live results for the meet can be found
