BOZEMAN, Mont. (April 12, 2024) – The Lumberjacks paved their way to the second-straight win, while winning the last three straight, as NAU brought in a 5-2 victory at Montana State on Friday afternoon.
Picking up the doubles point,
Dominik Buzonics and
Jakub Prachar earned the first win at the No. 1 position with a 6-4 victory over Andras Necz and Max Relic.
Piotr Galus made his return from injury, clinching the doubles point with partner
Maikel De Boes with a 7-6 (7-3) victory at the No. 3 position, knocking MSU's pairing of Dario Ciobotaru and Kanika Jayathilake.
Maciej Ziomber and
Dani Torres went unfinished with a 6-6 tie at the No. 2.
Torres went on to grab the 2-0 lead for the Jacks with a win at the No. 2 slot over Ciobotaru in a 6-4, 6-4 match. The Bobcats earned their first point with Necz grabbing a victory over De Boes at the No. 3 in a 6-4, 6-2 final. MSU found their second point from a No. 1 victory as Relic defeated Buzonics in a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win.
Ziomber earned the victory at the No. 4 slot over MSU's Rayen Hermassi in a 7-5, 6-7 (1-7), 6-2 match. Prachar went 6-3, 6-2 in the quickest match for the Jacks over Jayathilake at the No. 6 to clinch things while
Semen Agynskyy closed the match out for NAU while going the distance with Andre Stewart at the No. 5 in a 6-3, 6-7, 1-0 (10-8) final.
