FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (June 12, 2024) – The NAU men's cross country and track & field teams finished second in the John McDonnell Program of the Year standings as announced by USTFCCCA.
The Lumberjacks saw an impressive cross country season, consistently ranking as the top team in the country before finishing second at the NCAA National Championship meet. They continued this success into the indoor season where they placed fourth at the NCAA Indoor National Championships, tying their best finish in school history.
Following the indoor season, the 'Jacks were tied in the Program of the Year standings with eventual winner Arkansas. Despite strong performances at the national meet in the outdoor season, which saw one of the best finishes in program history, NAU finished outside of the top-20 and ultimately placed second in the Program of the Year standings.
