EUGENE, Ore. (June 6, 2024) – The NAU track & field team continued their impressive performance at the NCAA National Championship meet, seeing a school and conference record fall in the second day of competition.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team broke the school and conference record in the event, with
Madeline Wilson,
LiNay Perry,
Maggi Congdon, and
Kyairra Reigh combining to run a time of 3:31.28. They finished 14
th in the event with each woman earning second-team All-American honors.
Aliandrea Upshaw concluded her season as an honorable mention All-American in the 10,000-meter after finishing 21
st in the event with a time of 34:55.74.
Maggi Congdon ran a school and conference record-breaking time of 4:07.81 in the preliminary round of the 1,500-meter to finish fourth in her heat and earn an automatic spot in the finals of the event. Congdon will compete in the finals on Saturday, June 8 at 2:41 p.m. MST.
Karrie Baloga ran a personal best 3,000-meter steeplechase time of 9:49.33 to finish third in her heat of the preliminary round and earn a spot in the finals of the event. Her time is the second-fastest in school history. Baloga will compete in the finals of the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Saturday at 2:54 p.m. MST.
