FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Jan. 30, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's diving team completed the first day of the Lumberjack Diving Invite, competing on the 3-meter board.
"Today was fantastic," head diving coach Nikki Kelsey said. "Having four divers in the top-five and Vic with the win is awesome. All six of them did a great job today. I'm very pleased with all of them and looking forward to the next couple of days."
Each diver completed six dives, starting with the preliminary round. Victoria Knapp took the top spot with a score of 318.00, followed by Mackenna Stocker in second with 305.10. Margaret Wesche placed fourth with 290.70, while Grace Wesche finished sixth with 286.25. The top eight divers advanced to the finals, while those placing ninth through 16th competed in a consolation round.
Kendall Marquez narrowly missed a finals spot, taking ninth with a respectable 266.25. Catalina Devia, competing in her first 3-meter event of the year, scored 252.70 in the preliminaries to place 12th.
Knapp continued to dominate in the finals, scoring 319.45 to maintain her first-place position. Grace Wesche moved up to second after scoring 316.70, while Margaret Wesche placed third with 297.50. Stocker finished fifth with 290.30.
