Lumberjacks Dominate Eagles in Home Opener

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 11, 2025) – Four Lumberjacks scored in doubles figures as the Northern Arizona women's basketball team took a 100-59 victory over Embry-Riddle in its home opener for the 2025-26 season inside Rolle Activity Center on Tuesday evening.

The Lumberjacks (1-2) were led by Naomi White, who recorded 21 points on 8-of-16 shooting for her third straight games scoring 20 or more points, to go along with six steals, six assists, and seven rebounds. Hannah Williams set a career-high with 16 points and nine boards on 7-of-9 shooting, with J'Bionna Robinson also scoring a career-best ten points while also stacking five steals and two assists. In the paint, Layla Davis produced 16 points and seven boards in just under 15 minutes of action.

NAU set season-best in points allowed (59), opponent turnovers (37), points from turnovers (42), assists (19), and steals (24).

Abby Dean scored 14 points to lead Embry-Riddle (1-5), while Makenzie Alapai pitched in ten points. The Eagles jumped out to an 11-6 lead after shooting 5-10 from the floor to start, but NAU would close the opening quarter on a 12-7 run to lead by two after one. Following an Eagles basket to open the second stanza and tie it again, the 'Jacks built a lead they would not relinquish, outscoring the Eagles 27-12 in the second period and 25-11 in the third to cruise to the finish line with the win.

A few other Lumberjacks also recorded their first career points in the affair, including Sydney Scott, Addison Dunn, and Faith Curry.

NAU last reached 100 points in a game against Idaho State on January 25, 2025, when it topped the Bengals 106-76. With the victory, the 'Jacks also extend their home win streak to seven games.

Entering tonight's contest, Naomi White led the country in points per game amongst freshmen and is now averaging 24.3 through her first three collegiate contests.

NAU will continue its season this Saturday when it heads west to take on UC Irvine. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Mountain Standard time and will be streamed on ESPN+.
