FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 17, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team continues its season this week at home, hosting West Coast Conference member Pepperdine. The Lumberjacks will tipoff against the Waves on Wednesday, November 19 at 6 p.m. Mountain Standard time inside Rolle Activity Center. NAU stands at 1-3 entering this game, following a 90-75 loss on the road to UC Irvine this past Saturday. Naomi White registered her fourth game with 20+ points in as many outings, stacking 21 points, four rebounds, and four assists. White still leads the Big Sky and ranks 11th nationally in points per game (23), while ranking first in the league and 3rd nationally in three-point field goals per game (4.3). NAU will look to push its home win streak to eight games.
Two Lumberjacks reached career-highs in scoring in the loss, with Faith Curry registering 13 points and Madison Watts recording ten points while stacking seven rebounds and four steals. NAU was able to cut a 17-point deficit to just five with 3:50 to play but were unable to close the gap as UC Irvine finished the game on a 17-7 run.
Pepperdine arrives in Flagstaff with a 2-1 mark, following an 85-56 loss on the road to Utah Valley last Friday. The Waves landed tenth out of 12 teams in the WCC preseason poll. Elli Guiney leads the offense with 12.7 points per game, while Shorna Preston is pulling down just over nine boards a game. Maria Taija Sta. is dishing out five assists a contest for a squad currently ranking third in points (71.3) and field goal percentage (47) in the conference.
