NAU Women's Basketball Set for Friday Test in Tucson

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 20, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team continues its non-conference slate this week on the road, traveling to Big 12 foe Arizona. The Lumberjacks will tipoff against the Wildcats on Friday, November 21 at 6 p.m. Mountain Standard time inside McKale Memorial Center.

NAU stands at 1-4 entering this game, following an 80-74 loss to Pepperdine on Wednesday. Naomi White registered her fifth game with 20+ points in as many outings, stacking 27 points and three rebounds. White still leads the Big Sky and ranks tenth nationally in points per game (23.8), while ranking first in the league and 3rd nationally in three-point field goals per game (3.6). NAU will look to snap a two-game skid and pick up its first win on the road this season.

Arizona enters this contest at 3-0, following an 85-64 win over Grambling State this past Sunday in Tucson. Noelani Cornfield headlines the offense, as she currently ranks first in the country in assists per game (10.3). Mickayla Perdue is scoring 21 points per game, while Nora Francois is grabbing seven boards a contest.

The Wildcats were picked 14th out of 16 teams in the Big 12 Preseason Poll and lead the all-time series with NAU 6-3. The Lumberjacks are on a two-game win streak over Arizona, as they took a regular season meeting, 92-75 in Flagstaff and a 71-69 WBIT matchup last season.
