Northern Arizona Places Four on All-Big Sky First Team, Nine Total ‘Jacks Receive All-Conference Honors

FARMINGTON, Utah (November 26, 2025) – Four Lumberjacks were voted to the 2025 All-Big Sky Conference First Team, the most for the Northern Arizona football program since 2017. A total of nine players were honored all together in a vote by the league's head coaches as announced by the league office on Wednesday.

Kolbe Katsis was selected to the All-Conference First Team as both a wide receiver and kick returner. Travis Arena and Quentin Moten were voted to First Team Defense and Ben D'Aquila was honored as the First Team punter.

Counting Katsis' dual selection, the five first team selections (between four players) are NAU's most since 2015.

Katsis was the only Big Sky receiver to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards, leading the conference with 1,068 yards and tying for the league-lead with 10 receiving touchdowns. He ranked seventh in the FCS in all-purpose yards per game at 137.8 and had five games with at least 150 all-purpose yards.

He is the first Lumberjack receiver named to the All-Big Sky First Team since Elijah Marks in 2017, and more impressively the first returner (kick or punt) to earn first team honors since Ricky Pearsall in 1996. Katsis finished fifth in the FCS, and first in the Big Sky, in kick return average (30.6) among qualified players and his 100-yard return against Northern Colorado was one of two kick return touchdowns in the Big Sky this season.

Arena and Moten were honored at linebacker and defensive back, respectively, following standout senior seasons. Arena was one of the Big Sky's top linebackers, despite missing three games with an injury, and finished with 60 tackles and 5.0 sacks. His 5.0 sacks were the most by a Big Sky player who played less than 10 games.

Meanwhile, Moten tied for third in the Big Sky with four interceptions in his lone season as a Lumberjack. The UNLV transfer was also tied for the Big Sky lead with 13 passes defended and ranked eighth in the FCS with 1.18 passes defended per game.

D'Aquila, the first Lumberjack punter to earn a first team nod since Ryan Hawkins in 2015, set both NAU and Big Sky records for single-season punt average (48.7) and career punt average (47.8). An honorable mention pick last year, D'Aquila ranked second in all of Division I, including FBS, in punt average this fall.

Jeremiah Katt and Ethan Kramer represented NAU's veteran offensive line on the All-Big Sky Second Team, as did linebacker Brandon Wong. Kramer started all 12 games at left guard, while Katt impressed in the latter half of the season, starting six of the last seven games at right guard. Together, the pair helped NAU rank 31st in the FCS in scoring offense and total offense.

After missing the first three games of the season recovering from a pair of offseason injuries, Wong was one of Big Sky's top linebackers. Wong, an honorable mention selection last year, recorded a tackle-for-loss in all nine games he played and finished sixth in the Big Sky with 10.5 tackles-for-loss amongst his 64 total tackles, which was third on the team.

Rounding out the Lumberjacks' All-Conference honorees are Ty Pennington and Isaiah Eastman, who both received honorable mention.

Pennington ranked in the top 10 in the FCS in passing yards (3,116), passing yards per game (259.7) and completions per game (20.9), in addition to the top 30 in passing touchdowns (19), completion percentage (.657) and passing efficiency (148.5).

Eastman earned honorable mention for the second consecutive season at punt returner. The senior returned 18 punts for 126 yards at an average of 7.0 yards per return this season.
