FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (November 7, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team continues the start of the 2025-26 season on the road against future Big Sky member Utah Tech this weekend.
The Lumberjacks will tip off against the Trailblazers in St. George, Utah on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. Mountain Standard time. The game will be streamed on ESPN+, with live stats available
here.
NAU dropped its season opener on the road at New Mexico, 77-59 on Monday evening.
Naomi White produced 24 points in her collegiate debut on 9-of-24 shooting, including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc to go along with four rebounds, while
Audrey Taylor chipped in ten points to lead NAU's offense.
Simone Morris pulled down eight boards and scored six points, with
Madison Watts stacking eight points, six rebounds, two blocks and one steal in their respective Lumberjack debuts.
NAU will be the season opener for Utah Tech, as the Trailblazers had their original first contest canceled. Utah Tech was picked seventh in the WAC Preseason Coaches Poll. The Trailblazers finished 2024-25 with a 6-25 record, including a 1-15 mark in league play. Utah Tech returns four starters, along with six total letter winners and three redshirts. It has also won seven consecutive season openers in St. George. Following this contest, UTU will host Omaha next Wednesday night.
The Lumberjacks have faced Utah Tech just once previously, taking a 68-66 victory in Flagstaff almost a decade ago on December 12, 2025.
