Montana Transfer Zack Davidson Signs with NAU Basketball

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (May 6, 2025) – Northern Arizona Basketball adds their second transfer to the 2025-26 roster in Zack Davidson, a 6'9 forward who spent two seasons with the Montana Grizzlies.

"We are excited to have Zack a part of our basketball family. He comes from successful basketball programs with well-respected coaches, playing high school at Mater Dei and collegiately at Montana. He gives us great size in the front court and is a tough player. He has a game that fits well with how we play," head coach Shane Burcar said.

Davidson graduated from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, where he played varsity basketball under head coach Gary McKnight for four years, serving as captain his final two seasons. McKnight is the winningest high school head coach in California state history. Davidson was named the league MVP in 2022 alongside first team all-CIF honors. In 2023, Davidson was named CIF Player of the Year, brought in All-Conference first team honors, and was named Mater Dei's Male Athlete of the Year.

Davidson redshirted in his first season with the Griz (2023-24) and went on to appear in 16 games for the Griz during the 2024-25 campaign, shooting 65.2 percent from the field.

Davidson is the son of Kelly Davidson and the younger brother to Nick and Blake, both who are committed and signed to play for Clemson Men's Basketball. Davidson's Mother Kelly played collegiate volleyball at Nevada. To stay up to date with NAU Basketball, follow the Jacks on X, Instagram, and Facebook.
