Three Golfers Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (June 30, 2025) – The 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team was announced today, honoring 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs nationwide for their excellence in the classroom and on the course.

Three Northern Arizona women's golfers earned a spot on this prestigious list in recognition of their academic and athletic achievements.

Junior Lizzie Neale was named to the team for the third time in her career, while sophomores Frankie Dezis and Amy Hodgkins received the honor for the second time.

To be selected a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year through the team's conference championship.

Dezis is majoring in psychological sciences and competed in nine events for the Lumberjacks this year. She posted a scoring average of 74.60 and recorded six rounds at par or better. The Bath, England native tied for 19th at the Big Sky Championships, and her best round of the season came at the Clash at Boulder Creek, where she shot a 69 (-3).

Hodgkins, the 2024 Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year and a two-time All-Big Sky First Team selection, played in eight events and ranked second on the team with a scoring average of 72.54. An environmental sciences major, she tallied eight rounds at par or better, including three rounds in the 60s. At this year's Big Sky Conference tournament, the Australian shot rounds of 72, 70, and 70 for a 212 (-1) total, finishing in solo third and earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Neale was crowned the 2024 Big Sky individual champion after setting a conference record with a final-round 64 (-7), finishing with another Big Sky record total of 203 (-10). The Nelson, New Zealand native competed in nine events and led the team with a scoring average of 72.29. Of her 24 rounds played in 2024-25, 13 were at par or better, including three in the 60s. Her top finish came at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, where she claimed the individual title with rounds of 72, 71, and 70 for a total of 213 (-3), winning by one stroke and helping lead the team to victory. Neale, a health science fitness wellness major, earned All-Big Sky First Team honors for the third time.

All three golfers are also Golden Eagle Scholar Athletes and are expected to be placed on the Spring All-Big Sky Academic Team.
