NEW ORLEANS, La. (August 26, 2025) – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) unveiled its Preseason National Cross Country Coaches' Poll on Tuesday, with both Northern Arizona University programs earning top-15 national rankings heading into the fall.
The NAU women begin the year at No. 10, returning to the top-10 following a historic 2024 campaign in which they climbed to No. 1 in the National Coaches' Poll and ultimately placed fourth at the NCAA Championships, the program's best finish in school history.
On the men's side, the Lumberjacks open the season ranked No. 14 nationally. NAU concluded 2024 with a fifth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, marking the program's 11th straight top-10 finish at the national meet.
Northern Arizona kicks off its 2025 season this Saturday, Aug. 30 with its annual home meet, the George Kyte Classic, hosted at Buffalo Park in Flagstaff. The men's race will begin at 1:30 p.m. Mountain Standard Time while the women's race will take place at 2:30 p.m.
