NAU brings a 7-12 record into this contest, including an even 3-3 mark in Big Sky games. The Lumberjacks snapped a two-game skid yesterday against Portland State at home, using a big fourth quarter to run away with an 80-68 victory. Four 'Jacks scored in double figures for the second time this season. NAU will look to get back in the win column on the road, having lost its last away contest at Idaho State just over a week ago.
Montana brings a 3-13 record into this contest and is seeking its first conference win. The Griz suffered an 82-44 loss against its rival Montana State in Bozeman yesterday. Preseason All-Conference selection Mack Konig still leads the offense with 17.4 points per game, while Avery Waddington is pulling down 7.2 boards per game to rank seventh in the conference. The Griz rank last in scoring offense (61.7) and second-to-last in scoring defense (73.6)) in the league. They are led by former Griz assistant Nate Harris, who is in his first year at the helm in Missoula. In their first meeting, the Lumberjacks used a late run to pull away from the Griz on New Years' Day for an 81-72 win in the conference opener for both teams.
