FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Jan. 27, 2026) - The Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving team returns home this week for a packed three-day stretch at the Wall Aquatic Center, hosting the Lumberjack Diving Invite from Thursday through Saturday while also welcoming Utah Tech for a two-day women's swimming dual on Friday and Saturday.
Competition will begin Thursday, Jan. 29, with the women's 1-meter diving prelims followed by the finals later in the day. Action continues Friday, Jan. 30, as the women contest the 3-meter event, starting with prelims and concluding with the finals. The weekend wraps up Saturday, Jan. 31, highlighted by Senior Recognition for Women's Swimming & Diving before the women's platform event, which will feature preliminary rounds followed by finals to close the meet.
Northern Arizona will also face Utah Tech in women's swimming competition on Friday and Saturday, with the diving invite. Northern Arizona holds a 6-0-1 all-time record against Utah Tech in women's swimming and diving, including a 3-0 mark at home. The Lumberjacks most recently faced the Trailblazers on Dec. 13, 2025, securing a 173–89 victory after the two teams split sessions. Friday's relay-only competition ended in a tie before Northern Arizona pulled away decisively on Saturday with wins across strokes, distances, and relays. NAU's largest margin of victory in the series came on Jan. 27, 2024, a 190–87 win in Flagstaff.
Northern Arizona recently competed at UCLA, gaining valuable experience against a nationally ranked field, where Mackenna Stocker earned MPSF Diver of the Week honors. The divers then carried that momentum into competition at New Mexico. Mackenna Stocker won the 1-meter with a score of 321.00 and placed second on 3-meter (284.33). Grace Wesche captured the 3-meter title (316.20), continuing to score consistent performances as the team builds toward the postseason.
Senior Day will be celebrated this weekend honoring a group of senior swimmers and divers who have played key roles in the program's success. The Lumberjacks will recognize Gracie Munk, Elsa Musselman, Cydnie Perkins, Kirsten Clark, Mackenna Stocker, Grace Wesche, and Margaret Wesche for their contributions to Northern Arizona women's swimming and diving. Fans are encouraged to attend and support the Lumberjacks throughout the weekend at the Wall Aquatic Center. Admission is free for all sessions.
