FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 12, 2026) – Coming off its first top five win since 2015 over the weekend, Northern Arizona football rose into the top 10 for the first time in 13 years on Monday. The Lumberjacks are ranked No. 8 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and No. 10 in the AFCA Coaches Poll.
NAU was last ranked in the top 10 in 2013, going into the FCS Playoffs that season ranked No. 8. Since then, the Lumberjacks have reached a peak of No. 13, accomplished twice including prior to last week's 49-44 victory over previously ranked No. 2/3 Montana.
Coupled with their win at No. 12/14 Idaho State two weeks ago, NAU logged consecutive wins over nationally-ranked opponents for the first time since 2003.
With their highest national ranking in over a decade, the Lumberjacks will be back in action this Saturday at Findlay Toyota Field at the Walkup Skydome versus Portland State at 4 p.m. MST. Tickets for NAU's Homecoming Game can be purchased
here and
suites in the Skydome are available by calling the Lumberjack Ticket Office at 928-523-0639.
