NAU enters this contest on a three-game win streak (10-17, 6-8 Big Sky), sitting sixth in the conference with four games remaining before the Big Sky Championships in Boise, Idaho. The Lumberjacks picked up a pair of road wins over Portland State, 88-80 in overtime and Sacramento State, 60-55, last week for their first conference road wins since topping Weber State on Jan. 8.
Naomi White still leads the offense with 21.9 points per game, while
Madison Watts is pulling down 7.8 rebounds and scoring 10.8 points per game.
Kayla Williams was named Big Sky Player of the Week on Tuesday, after finishing last week with 20.5 points on 62.5% shooting per game, including a season-high-tying eight rebounds against the Vikings. The 'Jacks will look to win their fourth overall and second in a row at home, while keeping hold of sixth place in the standings.
Northern Colorado snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Lumberjacks in the first meeting on Jan. 24 in Greeley, winning 72-59. The Bears have exceeded expectations this season, as they were picked seventh in the Preseason Coaches' Poll but have compiled a 19-8 record, including a 10-4 mark in league games. UNC and Montana State are currently the only squads in the league ranked in the top four in both scoring offense (69.8) and defense (60). The Bears are holding their opponents to a second-best 28.5% shooting from beyond the arc, a challenge for the Jacks who remain first in the league in 3-point FG percentage (35.1) and sit one spot ahead of the Bears in scoring offense at third with 71.9 points per game.
Tatum West leads the conference in offensive rebounds per game (3.85), while Gabi Fields holds the league's best assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.59. Neenah George leads a quad of Bears averaging double-digit scoring with 13.1 points per contest. Head Coach Kristen Mattio is in her fifth year at the helm in Greeley.
