FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 7, 2026) – The Northern Arizona men's tennis team fell short in a 4-3 decision to No. 71 Denver on Saturday night inside the NAU Tennis Center.
The contest marked NAU's fourth matchup with a ranked opponent this season. Three of the Jacks' five losses have come at the hands of ranked teams.
NAU took the first doubles win on court two, but fell on courts one and three as Denver took the early 1-0 lead.
Daniels Tens then fought in a tough, three-set match on court six to even things up at one apiece, before
Noa Tcherniack took his fourth straight win on court one for the 2-1 lead.
The Pioneers grabbed their first singles win on court four to tie things up again.
Jakub Jedrzejczak then also grabbed his fourth straight win in a three-set match in singles on court two, putting NAU on the cusp on a clinch.
Jakub Volesky battled on court three in straight sets, sending both to tiebreak, but ended up falling as the match came down to the court five victor.
Takumi Katsuda battled in the match's fourth singles to be pushed the three sets, as he fell to Connor Robb-Wilcox who clinched for the Pioneers.
