LA JOLLA, Calif. (April 18, 2026) – The Northern Arizona women's tennis team fell 4-0 to UC San Diego on Saturday afternoon to close out the regular season.
NAU enters next week's Big Sky Conference Championships at 7-7 overall and 6-2 in league matches . The Lumberjacks will be the No. 2 seed in the tournament.
The Tritons secured the doubles point on courts three and one. NAU tried to get going in singles but quickly found itself down 2-0 with another UCSD point from court five.
Natalie Rainke then saw her six-match win streak snapped on court three, as the Tritons put themselves up 3-0 on the verge of clinching the match.
On court six,
Mia Wolter grabbed a lead in her first set but couldn't continue the momentum and fell in straight sets while UC San Diego crossed the finish line.
