FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (May 18, 2026) – Former Northern Arizona cornerback
Quentin Moten's professional career in the Canadian Football League after signing with the Ottawa Redblacks on Monday.
Moten enjoyed a standout 2025 season – his lone season in Flagstaff – earning FCS Football Central Third Team All-American honors. He was an Honorable Mention All-American by The Associated Press.
In his only season as a Lumberjack, Moten started nine of 11 games he appeared in and tied for the team-lead with four interceptions. His four picks were tied for fourth in the Big Sky and 17th in the FCS. He was particularly clutch deep in opponent territory, recording three of his four interceptions inside the opponent's 5-yard line.
Moten, a 2025 All-Big Sky First Team selection, totaled 33 tackles and nine pass breakups on the season. He led the Big Sky with 1.18 passes defended per game and was tied for 16th across the FCS with 13 total passes defended.
The Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. native quickly made a name for himself at NAU after not competing collegiately in 2024. Moten arrived in Flagstaff via UNLV where he appeared in eight games for the Rebels in 2023.
Moten's debut professional season kicks off on June 6 with the Redblacks' season opener against the Edmonton Elks. The 2026 CFL regular season runs through October 24.
