FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (July 22, 2026) – The Northern Arizona soccer team has unveiled its 2026 schedule, head coach
Alan Berrios announced this morning. The Lumberjacks will play eight matches at home and 12 true road contests to make up the full 20-match campaign.

NAU's roster includes 16 returners and 12 newcomers, featuring seven freshmen. Fans can get an early look at the 'Jacks on August 6, when NAU plays an intersquad scrimmage and on Aug. 9, when NAU welcomes Embry-Riddle to Flagstaff for an exhibition, both at 7 p.m. Mountain Standard time. The regular season will commence later that week as NAU travels to California to face UC Riverside on Aug. 12.
The 'Jacks will head east to play the Lobos in Albuquerque on Aug 20, before hosting UC San Diego for their home opener on Aug. 23. Another home match against UTEP on Aug. 30 rounds out the first month of the season.
NAU then looks towards a trio of road games to begin September, first on Sep. 3 at Nevada, then back to California later that weekend at St. Mary's on Sep. 6. An in-state showdown with Arizona in Tucson wraps up the stretch on Sep. 10. The lone match of the month in Flagstaff happens on Sep. 13, with 2025 Women's College Cup participant Grambling State coming to town to meet NAU for the first time.
The Lumberjacks keep things in the state with a quick trip down to Phoenix to play Grand Canyon on Sep. 17, before closing the month in Las Cruces with New Mexico State on Sep. 20.
Following an 18-day hiatus from game action, the 'Jacks begin Big Sky Conference play by hosting Eastern Washington on Oct. 8 and Idaho on Oct. 11. A trip to Utah to play Southern Utah and Utah Tech follows on Oct. 15 and 18, who are both new members of the league in 2026. NAU returns to Flagstaff the following week to welcome defending conference champion Montana on Oct. 22 and Portland State on Oct. 25.
The regular season slate wraps up with another trio of road contests, beginning with Idaho State on Oct. 29. The Jacks then start November at Weber State on the first, before playing the regular season finale in Greeley against Northern Colorado on Nov. 5.
The 2026 Big Sky Championships will be played Nov. 11-15 in Missoula, Montana.
