FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (August 26, 2026) -Â Head volleyball coach Ken Murphy has announced the addition of five new Lumberjacks joining the team in 2026. The incoming class features three true freshmen and two transfers. The quintet brings NAU's roster to 17 players, joining key returners Hanah Stoddard, Gigi Greenlee, Ella Hosfeld, Laney Wilson and Lilly Holmes.
"The mix of this class will help us compete for championships both now and in the future," Murphy said. "They are all athletic, tough-minded players, and each of them is talented enough to compete for a spot right away."
NAU's incoming freshmen and transfers are listed below in alphabetical order.

Quincey Coyle
6-0 — Senior — Outside Hitter
Fort Lupton, Colo. / Mead High School / West Virginia
Quincey Coyle is a transfer outside hitter from West Virginia and will be a redshirt senior. Originally from Fort Lupton, Colo., Coyle appeared in 85 matches and established herself as a key contributor for the Mountaineers. As a junior in 2024, she played in all 29 matches and ranked second on the team with 32 service aces, highlighted by a program and Big 12 match-record-tying six aces against UCF. She also posted career highs with 21 kills, 26 points and five blocks against Binghamton, while recording 170 digs and five matches with double-digit kill.
During her sophomore campaign, she appeared in 27 matches, totaling 107 digs and 12 service aces, including a career-best nine digs against Oklahoma. As a freshman, she competed in every match, finishing with 176 kills while recording double-digit kills four times, including a season-best 13 kills at Iowa State.
"Quincy brings a ton of experience, leadership and a strong all-around game to our team. She can score both on offense and with her serve, and I'm confident that she will be a big part of what we do this fall."
Kate Federico
5-5 — Freshman — Libero/Defensive Specialist
Peoria, Ariz. / Centennial
Kate Federico hails from Peoria, Ariz., where she starred at Centennial as a defensive specialist/libero and also competed with Arizona Sky Volleyball Academy. She earned All-Conference Second Team, All-Region First Team and Region Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023-24. In 2024-25, she was named to the All-Region First Team and earned Region Defensive Player of the Year honors. She continued her standout career in 2025-26, earning All-Conference Second Team, All-Region First Team, Conference Defensive Player of the Year and Region Defensive Player of the Year honors.
"Our team is going to love having Kate on the court. She plays fast, anticipates the game at a high level and brings a ton of energy and joy to the game," said Murphy. "She has really elevated her skill set over the past two years, and I think she will be capable of contributing very soon."
Avalon Legg
5-7 — Freshman — Libero/Defensive Specialist
Tempe, Ariz. / Corona del Sol
One of three incoming Arizona natives, Avalon Legg plays libero/defensive specialist and attended Corona del Sol, where she served as team captain in 2025. She earned All-Central Region 6A Honorable Mention honors in 2024-25 and was recognized on the Vball Recruiter 2024 Nationals Watchlist, PrepVolleyball Club 17U Watchlist and Prep Dig Arizona MLK Watchlist in 2026. Legg helped lead Corona del Sol to back-to-back state runner-up finishes in 2024 and 2025. The team posted a 37-7 record in 2024 and finished 34-7 in 2025.
"When we were recruiting Avalon, the thing we kept coming back to was her ability to control the team from the libero position. In addition to her advanced skill set, she has a knack for making the little plays that steady the team and a focus on doing whatever the team needs to be successful."
Hannah Pushckor
6-2 — Junior — Middle Blocker
Florence, Ariz. / American Leadership Academy-Ironwood / Eastern Arizona College
During her time at ALA Ironwood, Hannah Pushckor earned Honorable Mention All-Region honors in 2020, followed by Second Team All-Region honors in 2021. In 2022, she was named First Team All-Region and earned MaxPreps Player of the Game honors. She continued her standout high school career in 2023, earning First Team All-Region honors, two MaxPreps Player of the Game awards and recognition as one of the top blockers in Arizona. She ranked among the top 35 in the state, top nine in the 3A Conference and top five in the 3A South Central Region in blocks.
Pushckor spent her first two years of college at Eastern Arizona, appearing in 67 matches and 248 sets. She recorded 310 kills, averaging 1.25 kills per set, and totaled 316 career blocks, including 246 block assists and 70 solo blocks, for an average of 1.27 blocks per set. In 2024, she helped Eastern Arizona qualify for the NJCAA National Tournament, where the team finished 15th nationally. In 2025, she earned ACCAC Division I Second Team All-Conference and All-Region First Team honors while helping the team capture the conference and Region I championships. Eastern Arizona again qualified for the NJCAA National Tournament and finished 10th nationally.
"Hannah is a late bloomer who really benefited from her time at Eastern Arizona. She is a highly motivated athlete who already plays with maturity and strength at the net. She will add to our already deep middle blocker position and impact us even more in the coming years."
Mallory Reynolds
6-2 — Freshman — Setter
Alberta, Canada / WH Croxford
A four-year starter for WH Croxford, Mallory Reynolds served as team captain for one season and helped lead the program to its first-ever zone championship. During her high school career, she earned Rocky View League MVP, Rocky View Rookie of the Year and Rocky View All-Star honors three times.
Reynolds spent three years with Dinos Volleyball Club, helping the team earn a bronze medal at the 2025 U18 Provincials while competing up an age group as a U17 athlete. She then joined Canuck Volleyball Club for the 2025-26 season, helping the team capture the national championship while posting a 65-7 record.
She also has two years of experience with Team Alberta, earning silver medals at both the 2024 Canada Cup and 2025 Canada Games.
"Mallory brings real physicality to the setter position. She works very hard and has improved so much in the couple years that I've known her. Her ceiling is still very high, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she impacts our level of play and how we can build some things around her in the coming years."
