Spring 2021: Played in 1 game, recording 1 tackle and recovered a fumble against Southern Utah.

Houston: Spent two seasons with the Cougars, redshirting in 2018... Spent time at both running back and defensive back while at Houston

High School: An impact player on both sides of the ball, Phenix was a two-star recruit by Rivals and 247Sports. Totaled 29 tackles, three pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception on defense as a senior... On offense, ran for 785 yards and 11 touchdowns on only 96 attempts, averaging 8.2 yards per rush... As a junior on defense, totaled 22 tackles, nine pass breakups and two forced fumbles... Added 13 tackles, seven pass breakups and one interception as a sophomore... Earned 2016 Second Team all-district honors
